The Friends of the Earlham Public Library hosted a fun family event on May 30 at Earlham City Park. Kids and adults enjoyed an excellent magic show by Adam White Magic, great food, a pie contest, and activities sponsored by Madison County Emergency Management, Madison County Conservation, EFit, and the Earlham Public Library. The event was a fundraiser for the Earlham Library. The Friends are a non-profit group, separate from the library itself, made up of volunteers for the purpose of supporting the library financially and promoting its use. The Friends help pay for items outside the library’s normal operating budget. The event also served as a kickoff for the library’s summer reading program.
